Plant Controller
We are looking for a Plant Controller for our manufacturing partner in Tolna County. We are seeking a highly experienced finance professional to oversee and drive the comprehensive operational and cost controlling activities of their manufacturing site. The core focus of this role is to monitor production, material, and operational expenses, analyze financial variances, and provide actionable reporting to enhance overall factory performance. The successful candidate will act as a key financial business partner to local operations, driving cost optimization initiatives, tracking capital expenditure, and supporting strategic decision-making.
Tasks
Providing comprehensive financial controlling support across manufacturing, material management, and site operations
Analyzing material, production, utility, scrap, and maintenance expenses, and delivering regular management performance reports
Evaluating variances between budget allocations, forecasted figures, and actual financial performance
Developing and maintaining plant scorecards and performance reports to drive operational efficiency
Tracking CAPEX budgets, managing spending workflows, and conducting post-implementation project evaluations
Supporting working capital improvement initiatives
Managing standard cost calculations, scrap expense planning, and BOM data maintenance
Coordinating operational budgets across procurement, warehousing, production costs, and rebate structures
Tracking and reporting FTE metrics
Regularly reviewing cost allocation frameworks (fixed/variable) and plant reporting guidelines
Identifying cost-saving opportunities and proposing operational improvement strategies
Partnering cross-functionally with manufacturing, operations, and finance teams, supporting joint projects
Requirements
- University degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline
- Minimum 10 years of broad financial experience, including at least 5 years specifically in plant/manufacturing controlling
- Proven background within a manufacturing or FMCG environment
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and working knowledge of ERP systems
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving capabilities
- High degree of autonomy, precision, and an outcome-driven attitude
